Computer literacy - something to think about

Here's another perspective on computer literacy. We use computers so much in EET that sometimes it's hard to imagine that college students may have difficulty with the courses in their programs that require use of computers - even basic use of computers.

The staff in the upgrading program and in the Learning Cafe are seeing an increase in demand for computer literacy support. Just something to think about . . .
How does this impact the design of the courses and learning materials we develop?

We need to think more about that demographic more whenever we develop dynamic components and perhaps have to have more video and text based tutorials written specifically for beginners.

Perhaps we should talk with the library about what we can develop to support newer computer users as well.
