mediaFRESH 2010 Digital Alberta Awards ceremony

Six of us attended the mediaFRESH 2010 Digital Alberta Awards ceremony on Friday evening in Calgary. We had two submissions make the finals: One was the Hubbard site in the “Best Non-Commercial website” category, and the other was the Distraction quiz in the “Best E-learning Product Course” category.

Although we didn’t win, attending the ceremony gave us a good indication of the level of work and the strength of the competition. Industry was well represented at the celebration and among the finalists, as was SAIT and the U of L, but we were the only post-secondary institution to make the finals in two categories. It truly was an achievement to make the finals!

So congrats not only to the people who worked on these projects, but also to the other staff who have developed other quality end products. This includes courses, learning objects, videos . . . . It is noticed!

Let’s be thinking about nominations for next year!
